Funny that my 50 mile time is faster than my 50K.  Guess that's what happens when your only 50K has over 11,000' of vertical ascent =)

Just want to stay happy and healthy.  Bring on whatever that may entail!

Personal:

I started running in April '09 and run to maintain some balance in my life.  Apparently I have an addictive personality so I figure I should do something positive with it.

Went to the JRP and I'm happy to report that I'm finally able to run again. Didn't want to push it so I kept the mileage and pace pretty conservative, but didn't really have any problems. I could feel the shin a bit on the slight downhill sections, but it wasn't painful, just noticeable. I'm going to run every other day for the next week or two just to make sure things hold up ok, then I'll get back on track.

Smart. Way to go. When are you getting out to PET? Thursday night or Friday? It would be cool if you came and camped. We are going to have fun.

Sounds like you will be over the shin issue pretty soon. Are you going to be pacing your dad at PE? I'll be out there pacing MattVS.

My dad's not running. He aggravated an old injury about 10 days ago and after running yesterday, he decided he better not do it. I'm planning on still going out though to at least check out the start and pace if someone needs me to.

You can hang with us---we will drive you to the runners who need you!

Sorry about your dad, I hope he gets to feeling 100% again soon.

Glad you are able to run, that is good.
