Funny that my 50 mile time is faster than my 50K. Guess that's what happens when your only 50K has over 11,000' of vertical ascent =)
Short-Term Running Goals:
Zion Traverse
Squaw Peak 50 Mile
Speedgoat 50K
Quest For King's
Wasatch 100
Long-Term Running Goals:
Just want to stay happy and healthy. Bring on whatever that may entail!
Personal:
I started running in April '09 and run to maintain some balance in my life. Apparently I have an addictive personality so I figure I should do something positive with it.
Went to the JRP to stretch the legs out. I was planning on doing around 6 or so, but my stomach was a mess so I cut it to 4. Other than the stomach, I felt great the entire way. I'm hoping rested legs will serve me well on Friday.

I was wondering if the race started Friday or Saturday. 100's are usually Friday, right?
So how does this race compare to the one where you set your PR? What are you aiming for (aside from finishing, which I know must always be the case)?
So excited for you! Anyone else running this one? Who are your pacers?
OK, enough questions. Wish I could have volunteered at this one!

Yep, race starts Friday. The Friday start is mostly just a Utah thing. Most do Saturday starts.
This one doesn't have quite as much climbing as Wasatch, but it's pretty close. Obviously the goal is to finish, but I'd like to do it in under 24 hours.
The only person on here I know running it is Bryce. And I'm actually doing this one without a pacer. I'd really like to get to the point where I don't need a pacer, so this is the first test. My dad's crewing me, so he's on standby if I need someone.

Very cool! 10 miles without a pacer, wow! I barely made it to mile 33 on the 50!
GOOD LUCK TO YOU! I have no doubt that you can break 24 hours if all goes well! Have fun. Tell your dad the psycho lady from Squaw Peak says HI. I think he thought I was crazy. I still remember him saying, "WHO is that???" Just a running admirer. ;o)
Looking forward to hearing all about it!
