Funny that my 50 mile time is faster than my 50K.  Guess that's what happens when your only 50K has over 11,000' of vertical ascent =)

Zion Traverse

Squaw Peak 50 Mile

Speedgoat 50K

Wasatch 100

Long-Term Running Goals:

Just want to stay happy and healthy.  Bring on whatever that may entail!

Personal:

I started running in April '09 and run to maintain some balance in my life.  Apparently I have an addictive personality so I figure I should do something positive with it.

I failed to get out last night due only to laziness.  So I got up early and hit the treadmill for a half hour.  Got 3 miles with some vert and actually sweated for the first time in weeks.  Did some weights as well.

Seeing the doctor this afternoon to see what the deal with my ankle is.  I'm sure he'll just tell me to use an insert with arch support (which I actually have been doing this week) or to stop running.  I stopped for 3 weeks after the injury and it did NOTHING.  I feel like running a bit has helped it.  The only reason I'm seeing a doctor in the first place is to make sure there's no structural damage.  If that's the case, then I guess stopping for awhile would be best.  Crossing my fingers that's not the case because my motivation is shot as it is... Being sidelined again would absolutely crush me.

You know, Altra makes a 'structural support' that I can pick up for you. It really helps with people who generally have an over-pronation injury, so I'm not sure if it would help. Let me know.

Is it the one that comes with the Provision? I talked with Seth about that one at ORS. I'll see what the doc says today and I'll let ya know.
