Funny that my 50 mile time is faster than my 50K.  Guess that's what happens when your only 50K has over 11,000' of vertical ascent =)

Zion Traverse

Squaw Peak 50 Mile

Speedgoat 50K

Quest For King's

Wasatch 100

Long-Term Running Goals:

Just want to stay happy and healthy.  Bring on whatever that may entail!

Personal:

I started running in April '09 and run to maintain some balance in my life.  Apparently I have an addictive personality so I figure I should do something positive with it.

Had an extremely late night Friday due to circumstances out of my control.  So instead, I decided to do my run on Sunday.  Woke up and hung around the house for awhile before deciding to get off my butt.  Sun was out in full force and it was already hot when I started.

Did the Desolation loop starting from Mill D.  Not fast, but not slow; just right.  Legs are feeling good these days and fairly rested.  Actually, maybe a little too rested for the training cycle I should be in.  SHOULD being the key word, because I'm having trouble balancing life and running right now.  Oh well, I feel blessed to even have the opportunity to make it out and run, so I'll take what I can get.  Hopefully I can bang out a good week this week so I can feel a bit more confidence leading up to Wasatch.

I totally should have called you to run with me yesterday. I was thinking that as I started my first lap on VB. I'll probably run early before work every day this week if you want to join me.

I'd love to join you a day or two this week in the AM. Let me know the time and place.

Love the Desolation loop. One of the best runs anywhere! See you at Wasatch.

That's a smokin' fast 50 mile time listed under your "Running Accomplishments." Wow!

Kendall - Love the Desolation loop! It's definitely one of my go-to runs. Looking forward to seeing everyone out at Wasatch this year. Should be fairly awesome!

And thanks! That 50 was out at the Buffalo Run last year.

Let me interpret your post:

"Got hammered Friday night and totally paid for it on Saturday. Shrugged off the fog by Sunday late morning and went for a half naked romp in the woods".

How'd I do?

Let's get out this week. All of a sudden I feel really under-trained for Wasatch. New goal: Have as much fun as possible. I think I'll just stick with that one. You should join me.

Haha Craig... If only that were the case! Actually was with my gf and her kids at the Drive-In Friday night. They stayed awake through BOTH movies (when does that happen?). On the way home I got a call that a friend was hammered, tearing things up, and acting like a lunatic on bath salts, so I had to go diffuse. Finally got to bed in the 4 o'clock hour and had no desire to run before my family reunion that started at noon.

I'm feeling the same! Would love to get out with you guys a time or two this week. Scott was mentioning some early a.m. VB summits? Sounds right up my alley.
