Funny that my 50 mile time is faster than my 50K.  Guess that's what happens when your only 50K has over 11,000' of vertical ascent =)

Personal:

I started running in April '09 and run to maintain some balance in my life.  Apparently I have an addictive personality so I figure I should do something positive with it.

Easy run just to see how things are holding up.  My foot felt ok, but definitely still some soreness there.  I'm pretty sure if I run 50 miles on Friday it will be detrimental in the long run, so I'm not running.  I'd want to put up a good performance and I just don't quite feel ready to do that anyway.  Kinda bummed, but I think it will be beneficial in the long run.  I don't want to risk being injured for months on end again.

I had some time tonight to reflect on what's next and I'm not really sure where I'm headed.  I definitely want to maintain a nice base throughout the winter to avoid an early season injury again next.  It would certainly be nice to have an event to look forward to in the next few months though.  Suggestions?

Buffalo hunnerd. We should also do an adventure ultra in early November.

Yes, Buffalo.

Also, we should be looking into some adventure runs from now until then. Deserty stuff where there aint no snow.

Are we all running Buffalo hunnerd then? I didn't think I'd ever do that race, but if we're all in, then count me in too I guess.

And yes, looking forward to some deserty stuff! We should go back out to Stansbury some time.

Yeah man, I've been running every other day or so for the last week or two. Just trying to ease back into it... I'm not spending another 5 months on the injured list! I'll hit ya up in the next few weeks when I'm ready to get back out... I'm fat and slow at the moment.
